Privacy by design

Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

The short version

The WaveScope app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It contains no advertising, analytics, or telemetry. Your RF measurements, recordings, settings, and other app data remain on your Mac unless you choose to export or share them.

Data collected by the app

WaveScope does not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or other contact information
  • Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or location data
  • Usage analytics, interaction history, or telemetry
  • Spectrum data, recordings, measurements, or connected-device data

WaveScope does not require an account. App settings and working data are stored locally on your Mac. If you export a recording, image, or other file and send it elsewhere, that action is under your control.

Apple services

Apple may process information related to downloading, purchasing, updating, or diagnosing apps through the Mac App Store and macOS. That processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy and settings; WaveScope does not control it.

Support communications

If you email support@wavescope.net, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. We use that information only to respond, troubleshoot the issue, maintain necessary support records, and protect the support service. Support email is handled using Zoho Mail and our self-hosted help desk.

This website

The public WaveScope website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Like most web servers, it keeps limited technical logs such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time for operation, security, and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to profile visitors or for advertising.

Children's privacy

WaveScope does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data, it does not use children's information for any purpose.

Changes to this policy

If WaveScope's privacy practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
